About Karen Lillard

Karen Lillard I started painting about ten years ago, as a hobby which soon became much more. I am self taught and paint whatever I am feeling through color and motion. Initially I used palette knife mostly, but these days I am incorporating airbrush and varied techniques. Art became all about healing for me six years ago, when I experienced a home invasion/sexual assault. Painting got me through that and became more about the therapeutic benefits of creating. The Soul Survivor collection was donated to Women Helping Women so that others could see and feel the emotions through the artwork, of the dark days and the lighter days and the connection we share.
My art this past year has been created with meditation and intention. The intention is for healing through energy and visualization.
After taking a break for a few past years, I am beginning anew and launching new branding(art of kare) soon that is focused on healing endeavors around art including InsideOut Emotive Art Exercise events.
